Restored, matched pair, of Dellorto DHLA40 carburetors.
This is a vintage set of 2 Dellorto DHLA40 (non-suffix) carburettors which has been lovingly restored to their former glory.
As you can see in the pictures, they have been disassembled , cleaned and reassembled using new parts where required.
The work was carried out to our order by the best craftsmen that we know and consequently they have the "lighttight" butterfly valves, ensuring smooth idling.
These carbs even still have their original aluminium "tags".
These tags read 5233A and 5234P which allows us to determine that they are the very version of the DHLA40 that Dellorto was allowed to build for Alfa Romeo.
They predate the emissions hype and consequently they give the best raw power from your 2000 cc Nord engine!
These carbs currently have the following basic set-up which can not be altered:
- Type: DHLA40
- Butterfly valves: 7481.1
- Idle mixture screw type: Open Springs
- Air bleed screws? No
- Progression holes: 4
Furthermore they currently have the following flexible set-up:
- Chokes: 32 mm
- Main jet: 135
- Main emulsion tube: 7772.7
- Air Corrector: 200
- Idle emulsion tube: 7850.3
- Idle jet: 50
- Pump jet: 33
- Metal Jet Covers
Only 1 set is available.
Although these carburetors were produced for Alfa Romeo, they can of course be used on other makes of engines, provided a suitable inlet manifold is used.
In that case, it might be required that the car is tested and fine-tuned on a rolling road.
These carburettors, just like any other "new" carburetor, will require fine tuning once on your engine. Balance screws, mixtures screw and fuel banjos need to be adjusted. Please take this into account when ordering these carburetors.
