Throttle shaft for a Solex 44 PAI carburetor as used on, amongst others, the Volvo Penta marine engines.

This shaft has a diameter of 8mm and is made of hardened steel.

Should the bore in the carburetor housing be worn out, then you can compensate that with these shaft busings:

Should, however, the shaft itself be worn, then there is little alternative but to replace it as a worn throttle shaft is a drama and can not be properly adjusted.

The throttle disc is secured in the throttle shaft using special, hollow, screws.
