This is a brand new Weber 38 DGAS Carburetor.
It is an authentic Weber, Made in Spain.
Please note that this carburetor is equipped with two fuel unions, as visible in the pictures.
The upper one serves for the fuel supply line, the bottom one as fuel return line.
This is a twin-choke 38mm carburetor i.e. both throttle discs open simultaneously.
This means that 2 throttle valves of 38 mm in diameter which are operated simultaneously.
Intended to be the "road-going" version of this carburetor, it is equipped with a so-called "water-choke" as cold-start-device.
It is often used on Ford V6 engines of 2.3, 2.8 and 3.0 liter displacement.
The bolt pattern for fitting it to the inlet manifold is 46 x 93 mm:
The height from the base to the air filter face measures 85 mm while the total height is some 111 mm:
It is equipped with the following standard jetting:
- Venturi: 27 mm
- 142 main jet
- F50 emulsion tube
- 185 air corrector jet
- 45 idle jet
- 50 Pump jet
There is a fair range of jets available for these carburetor so you can tune it to your requirements.

Please note that there is small brass pipe protruding from behind the spindle gears as shown in this picture:
On certain Ford engines, this vacuum connection is used to control the summer / winter air filter control flap.
If you are NOT using this feature, this pipe should be blanked-off!
